“Get’Er Done” at Valley Art Center

Once again the Valley Art Center will be holding its annual fundraiser party. This year’s event, Get’Er Done, will be held at Edwards Crystal Brook Farm in Bainbridge Township, Ohio, on Saturday, March 15, starting at 6:30 pm. Parking is at the Kenston High School with a shuttle service to the festivities in the large, beautiful barn on the property. Join us for a wonderful, fun-filled evening in this charming facility.

The evening includes gourmet Wild West fare, an art auction, vintage portraiture and caricature artists, as well as cowboy-style music and dancing. This will be a hoe-down to remember.

A delicious menu with a western flare will include flavorful pulled pork, western-style chili and home made corn bread among other items. Guests will be received by a country beverage to warm the spirits for a great night of entertainment, all in the name of arts education. Don’t forget to put on your dancing shoes to try out the square dance steps too.

The major event of the evening will be a live art auction exclusively devoted to art of high quality in a variety of media, sizes and prices. Go to the Valley Art Center Web site today at www.valleyartcenter.org to place early bids on select pieces. All online bids must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, March 14. The night of the event there will be more than two dozen wonderful works of art to bid on live. Additionally, hand-painted miniature cow sculptures will be exhibited on tables around the barn for silent bidding on throughout the night.

Tickets are $75 per person for dinner and dancing. Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $250 per person and tables of eight are also available. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards Valley Art Center’s capital campaign program, “The Art of Renovation,” planned to be launched this summer, 2008 to improve facilities and classrooms and add space for more arts education.
