Drawing on the right side of the Brain at PAA

Drawing on the right side of the Brain – with Paulette Kirschensteiner, Learn how to “SEE” what you want to draw in a method following Betty Edwards book “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain”. This 3-day workshop will be held on Fridays, August 15, 22 and 29, 2008 from 1-3pm, ages 15 and up, $100, plus $25 supply fee paid to the instructor, PAA Members $90, +$25. Minimum 6 Maximum 12. All SUPPLIES are included with this workshop; Portfolio with pad of good drawing paper, handouts, drawing board. Supply pouch with 3 drawing pencils- 2B, 4B, 6B, 3 different type erasers, mat and plexiglass, small pencil sharpener, VisaV marker for plexiglass. Paulette has taught art students from kindergarten level through college as well as adults. Her teaching expands over 30 years as a Certified Teacher of Betty Edwards’ technique developed in Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. She has a BA in Art Education from Ursuline Collage, and her MA from Kent State University registration form

Creative Jewelry Design at PAA

Creative Jewelry Design, with Jane Pollock, Wednesdays, July 16 and 23, 2008, from 6:30 till 8:30 pm. While exploring the creative process, we’ll manipulate the metal with tools as well as our hands and come to know techniques used in fabrication as well as the finishing process. Jane will provide some fabulous basic materials, additional available for purchase. We will be sharing her personal studio tools and equipment and be working with sterling silver and some copper for practice, as well as beads or stone. 2-day workshop is $125.00 or $120.00 for PAA members. Fused Glass Jewelry with Marianne Hite –Mondays July 21 and 28, 6pm-8pm meets twice. Visit www.peninsulaartacademy.com for additional dates. Contact Marianne 330-414-0385 to select. Glass fusing is the melting together of different pieces of glass that are compatible with each other. Learn to make hanging pendants and/or earrings. We will cover glass cutting, compatibility of glasses, and briefly touch on the firing process. The glass will be fired overnight and then cold worked the following class and fired again if needed. $55 or $45 for PAA members.

Glass Fusing 1 with Marianne Hite, Two week Intensive: Tuesday July 22, Thursday July 24, Tuesday July 29,Thursday July 31, 2008, 6-8:30 meets four times. This class is a beginner’s introduction to glass fusing: the melting together of different pieces of glass that are compatible with each other. Make small dishes and tiles. We will cover glass cutting, compatibility of glasses, and the firing processes. Tools & basic materials supplied. Monday Morning Painting Group at PAA

Monday Morning painting group, lets get together and paint! Meets the second & last Monday of each month at 11:00. Informal, any medium, no instructor.
